FAQ
Window tint questions
Straight answers. Anything that depends on your vehicle or the film, ask the shop at (239) 822-9200.
What does the tint percentage mean?
It is the VLT, visible light transmission: the share of visible light the film lets through. A 70% film is very light and a 5% film is limo-dark. The lower the number, the darker the window.
How dark can I go in Florida?
Florida law sets how much light each window must let through, and the limits are different for cars than for SUVs, trucks and vans. Ask about your vehicle before you pick a shade.
How much does window tint cost?
It depends on the vehicle, how many windows you want done, the film you choose, and whether old tint has to come off first. Call (239) 822-9200 or send the quote form with your vehicle details.
Can old or bubbling tint be removed?
Yes, old film can be taken off, either on its own or before new tint goes on. Rear glass with defroster lines takes extra care. Ask about doing removal and new tint in the same visit.
How long does a tint job take?
It depends on the vehicle, the number of windows, and whether old film comes off first. Ask when you call and you will know how long to plan for.
Why does new tint look hazy at first?
New film can look slightly hazy or show small water pockets while the moisture from installation dries out. If something still looks wrong after the drying time you were given, call the shop.
How do I take care of new tint?
Follow the care instructions you get with your film. Most installers ask you to keep the windows rolled up for a few days and to clean tinted glass with a soft cloth and an ammonia-free cleaner.
Do you do home and business windows?
